Arnold Sports Festival 2020: Strongwoman Hannah Linzay
Tell me what you were just doing.
I just set the world record for the sandbag throw (40 pounds) over a 15 feet bar.
How do you prepare for that?
Give everything you got. Put it all together. When you come here, you leave it all on the floor.
Do you eat whatever you want? Tell me the real deal.
Cracker Barrel biscuits, blue berry muffins and chocolate milk.
Are you from the South? Where are you from?
What type of workout do you do?
I train 3 days a week. An upper day, a lower day and an event day.
It is all getting started.
How does it feel to win?
Sidebar: Hannah Linzay knows how to celebrate! Her excitement is contagious. It took me to days of old competing for championships.
Sidebar: This was Hannah Linzay’s last competition as an amateur. She earned her pro card earlier in the season, at the Nationals competition. Her win at the Arnold earns her an invitation to next year’s Arnold Sports Festival.
What’s your reaction to this weekend at the Arnold Sports Festival?
This weekend was an amazing experience. Thank you, Rogue Fitness, Strongman Corporation, and Arnold, for putting on such an amazing competition. I could have never gotten here without the help of my coach (Liefia Ingalls), my parents (Roy and Tammy Linzay) and my boyfriend (Thomas Wade). I can’t wait for the Arnold Pro Strongwoman competition next year. It is something I have been dreaming and working towards since I started training Strongman 3 years ago. I look forward to all the prep work and milestones I’ll hit in the coming year. Winning 4 out of 6 events at the Arnold Sports Festival is a huge accomplishment. Especially after moving up from middleweight to heavyweight this year. I’m so happy. All I know is big things are coming. Please stay tuned. Thank you, Columbus, for having us. I can’t wait to be back next year!
