I just walked up, what were you doing?
We just did the Rolling Thunder which is a one-armed deadlift with a rolling handle.
Why compete?
It is a lot of fun. It is a great way to stay active. There are really fun people to compete with. We are having more and more opportunities like this to compete at a high level. It is a really exciting time to be involved.
You just won. How much did you lift?
I think it is 160 pounds.
Sidebar: Modesty. Lifting 160 pounds with one arm with a rolling handle. No words… Also, that was a new Armlifting USA record in the Rolling Thunder 72.5 kg (159.835 pounds).
What is your training secret?
Go into it with a good attitude. You will be surprised what can happen.

Sidebar: Sarah also set new Armlifting USA records in Saxon Bar Deadlift 72.5 kg (153.835 pounds) and Apollon’s Axle 132.5 kg (I wasn’t around for that one…).

Sidebar: Day 2: I bumped into Sarah supporting Debra Googins competing in the Highland Games. Connecting and support, I LOVE IT!
