One Sunday morning, I decided to take a break from my Covid-19 quarantine and take a car ride. I stopped to view the mural. I didn’t realize I was at the Boys and Girls Club of Columbus West Side Unit until I went inside the gate to eventually take pictures of the pavement.

The mural has several themes:

There are different types of dreams reflected on the mural. To me, this symbolizes that each person may have different dreams but are equally valuable. The key is giving back so others can grow and become who they are destined to become.
I almost missed the quotes in the cement.

My take: This was great! I am glad I decided to walk 2 blocks west of where I usually walk. Viewing the mural and the pavers caused me to reflect. It is a challenge to connect, volunteer and give back when we are not in the middle of a pandemic. How do we impact the next generation and continue to fulfill purpose in the midst of the pandemic and beyond?
