It is our chocolate based ice cream that won best ice cream in America by People Magazine back in 1983. We add fudge brownie pieces to it. It is a very decadent and rich ice cream.
I LOVE THE VIBE OF THE STORE. This is a stretch with the vibrant colors but it reminds me of the store set of the Andy Griffith show (if the Andy Griffith show was in color).
Franklinton is an Arts district! In times past, I would have been concerned with the criminal element, but I didn’t see anything close to that. My disclaimer is that I went on a Sunday afternoon and was in my car by dusk.
The Veterans Museum is thought provoking. It is an opportunity to learn about different stages in history and service and sacrifice of those who served and continue to serve.
I enjoyed walking the trail and taking pictures of the scenery and seeing the dog owners walking their dogs and the little dog outfits. It’s a great time to get out the house, walk, and enjoy the metro park to avoid cabin fever.

The winter hike offers people the opportunity to walk 2 or 4 miles in the sleet, snow, hail, or sun. It is a healthy way to encourage people to be active in the winter.

We are partnered with Coffee Crafters. They do great work in the prison system training people to become baristas (a person who is trained to make coffee specialty drinks).
The course consists of nine obstacles: tire run and flip, tunnel crawl, cargo climb, balance beam, belly crawl, monkey bars, over under log jumps (the intent is to jump over one log that is a few feet tall then go under the next log and so on), wall climb, and log run.
