Interview with Madelyn Greco, Producer/ Competition Director of Jan Tana’s Bodypainting Revolution
Tell me about Body Paint and the body paint competition.
The Jan Tana Bodypainting Revolution is currently in its 3rd year of production, with the 2020 Arnold Sports Festival marking that anniversary. We have enjoyed an incredibly swift rise, becoming an integral part of the Arnold Sports Festival 2020. We were permitted to conduct our competition and present our artists and models before a globally live streamed audience on the Saturday evening Pro Show main stage. We could not be more honored than to have our place on that stage. Our goal is to continue to blaze a trail around the world for the creators of this artform and we’re incredibly grateful to the Arnold’s Organization for their support.
Interview with Artist Liliana Hopman.
Tell me about body painting.
My love has always been body painting. I have traveled the world to celebrate this love. The people I meet during the body painting events become my instant family. The experience is gratifying. Although the event was altered in the way we had never expected, we still managed to get very close to one another.
Interview with Jan Tana
On Saturday, artist had to paint according to this year’s theme of Barbarians and Warriors. The top three artists won cash prizes valued at $5,000. The Jan Tana Bodypainting Revolution artists and models were part of the Saturday night show and received recognition on the stage.
Sidebar: The Cornonavirus seemed to affect the number of artists and models who participated. I remember more participants last year. I love viewing live art!
