I talked to Artist Bob Copeland at the Easton Art Affair 2019.

Tell me about your art.
I work in photography. I have been doing this for about fifty years. I try to create images that have a lot of drama. I get to travel. I have taught workshops in Europe, Maine and Cuba. I work in Photoshop. I work in curves and masking to create the images. That is pretty much what I did when I worked in the dark room with burning and dodging.
Anything else?
I want them to look more like paintings. I don’t restrict myself to traditional photography. I think of myself like a photographer that paints.
Sidebar: I loved his work! I understood what he explained and it makes sense! In my opinion, he accomplishes his goal of being a photographer that paints.
