Tell me about your book and why you wrote it.

I self publish these books because I saw a hole in the market for children that have mixed heritage. These books for kids that have two cultures. My son is African American and Columbian. I wanted to make sure he had characters that looked like him and stories he could identify with.

Did you illustrate your book?

I wrote the book and self published it. I found illustrators from Columbia who could represent what I wanted.
